Week 31, February 27, 2017

Howdy all!
So this week has been a lot of fun! Our most progressing investigator fasted with us on wednesday but we already saw the blessings on monday! On monday she got a new job that not only allows her to come to church but will also help her quite smoking! At her old job everyone smoked making it really hard to be the only one who didn't smoke. But now nobody at her new job smokes! Which is totally amazing! I cannot wait to see her progress to be able to enter into the waters of baptism. I am so excited for her!
In other news though we have had quite the adventurous week! We cover a lot of rural areas and so sometimes the roads aren't exactly the easiest to navigate. They tend to be dirt (or mud this time of year) and winding and very steep at points. One driveway was especially so and so me and my companion recorded the drive. I will send the videos I have and I believe Elder Beck will send the ones that he has. I hope you enjoy!
I also included some pictures from the mesa in our area. It was so pretty! I love the mountains! I have missed them! I want you all to know that I love you and am so thankful for your support! You guys are wonderful!
Love
Elder Lindh

Week 30, February 20, 2017

Pday mail ended up getting done on the 22nd due to the Federal Holiday and then zone conference the next day.

Sorry for making you guys wait! This week has been crazy and its only wednesday. Monday the libraries were closed and yesterday we had zone conference all day. But I want you all to be sure that I am still alive and well! You can hold off on the funeral service.
Anyway I have learned so much this week and am having an amazing time doing it. I am learning so much about missionary work. You would think after 6 months I would have it down but the thing I have learned the most is that I have SO much left to learn about being a good missionary. But I am getting there and am committed to improving my skills as a missionary and developing the talents God has given me! I am so thankful for this opportunity to develop these talents and skills. I love being able to grow and help others do the same. I love being a missionary!
I love all of you and hope you have an amazing week!
Sincerely
Elder Lindh!

Week 29, February 13, 2017

So this week has been hard but also fun and crazy. All 3 of our set appointments for the week cancelled on us so that was kinda hard. But yesterday we had an amazing lesson with a family in our ward who had invited their friends over. It was amazing and you could just feel the spirit as the member bore powerful testimony of the truth of the book of Mormon. I loved it. Those are the moments we missionaries live for. That is why we come on missions. To help people feel the spirit and thus bring their lives into harmony with the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was amazing!
The downside of this week, the last elder here in the Paonia ward hit a chunk of ice and so damaged our front fender. Because of that we had to put the car in the shop on friday. And we just found out the car won't likely be ready until wednesday. So we will be walking for a while. But thats all good! We will still work just as hard. And hopefully we will get as much work done as possible.
I love you all so much. Thank you for supporting me through all of these things. I love the support you have all given me and want you to know that without all of you I would not be able to be here and serve a mission. Thank you all so much. I love you!
Sincerely
Elder Lindh

Weekk 28, February 6, 2017

So this has been one of the craziest but most amazing weeks ever! I am here in my new area with a new companion Elder Beck. He is a crazy Brazilian who can't stay serious for more than half a minute so life is full of fun and laughter. I already love it here and think it is amazing! We have some awesome investigators and are working on building up our teaching pool. Already we have gotten some new investigators! We have this one amazing couple Wyatt and Amber who are just about my age. Wyatt is graduating this year but is leaving today to go to basic training for the army. Amber works at the nursing home here in paonia. They are both super amazing and it is fun to see them progress. They have the spirit in their life and they want more! Its amazing to see them eat up everything we teach them! I love it!
So it also turns out that I am serving with some familiar faces. I am serving in the same district with two of the people that were in my MTC district, Elder Lunt and Sister Strickland. Its fun to serve around them again. I am also serving around Elder Christensen who was my follow up trainer and the only elder I have served with for two transfers. I also made sure to include my new companion in the picture so you can see what he looks like.
The video is a little late. While I was serving with elder Bergeron he turned 23 so this is the video of some members who sang him happy birthday. It was a lot of fun. I kept meaning to add this video but never quite got around to it. So there you go!
I love you all! There is a lot going on here! we have had a ton of lessons and they have all been amazing! I love this ward!
I love all of you! You are all so amazing!
Sincerely
Elder Lindh!

Nathan's most recent address

Week 27, January 30, 2017

Howdy!
So it turns out I will in fact be leaving the columbine ward. I will be headed to the Paonia ward over in montrose so I am headed out west again! But I am so happy I got to serve here in the columbine ward! I have loved it so much and was glad I got to serve here. I have loved being able to serve and touch the lives of those people in this ward. And am so thankful for the oppurtunity I have had to grow. I love this area.
I love all of you! Also as a side note I have been out 6 months! already 1/4th of the way done! and I am no longer a greenie! or in other words newbie. So lets hope for another amazing 18 months!
Sincerely
Elder Lindh

Week 26, January 23, 2017

So as a heads up transfers are in a week and so I will have definitive news next week. But from what president has told me it is rather likely I will be moving on. In his words "it might be wise to begin packing sooner than later". So I am expecting that I will be moving on.
This week has been rather dull. We met with Suzy Harrison who is an amazing less active who is coming back to church after 40 years. I love teaching her because you can always feel the spirit so strongly and you can really feel her desire to learn and to grow. I love being able to teach her and help her learn.
But sadly that is about all we have done this week. Hopefully there will be more to report next week.
I love all of you so much. You are all amazing!
I am so glad I have to support of the greatest family and friends a guy could ever hope for. I love you all!
Sincerely
Elder Lindh!
